NIFT Exam Paper Pattern

NIFT Entrance Exam syllabus consist of GAT (General Ability Test), CAT (Creative Ability Test) and Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview. The syllabus based on these test are as shown below:

General Ability Test (GAT):

This test will comprise of various section as given below:

Quantitative Ability

Communication Ability and English Comprehension

Analytical and Logical Ability

General Knowledge and Current Affairs

Case Study

Problem solving approach

Leadership qualities

Effective communication

Creative Ability Test (CAT):

CAT test is inspected the discernment ability, power of observation, creativity in development of a thought and design ability of the aspirants. An important quality of the test is to check the applicant’s ability to use of different color and creativeness in graphic skills.

Situation Test:

On the basis of their performance in CAT and GAT, B.Des applicants are called for Situation Test. Situation tests are held to examine candidate’s skills for material handling and inventive ability on a given situation with a given set of resources. Judgment will do on the basis of space visualization, innovative and creative use of given material, composition of elements, color scheme, construction skill, finesse of the model and overall presentation etc.

Bachelor’s Programs:

Candidates must check the new Bachelor‘s exam pattern provided by National Institute of Fashion Technology.
