IFS Exam Overview
Name of the
Post: Indian Forest Service Examination
Eligibility
Criteria: Applicants must possess
Bachelor’s degree. Any one of the following subjects is compulsory at graduate
level, namely: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry,
Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology. Applicants must have
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from any
University other recognised educational institutions.
Age
Limitations: Applier must have
completed the age of 21 years and must not have obtained the age of 32 years. Reserved categories candidates will avail the
benefit of age relaxation as per government norms.
Application Fee: Job seeker who wish to
apply for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination are required to pay a fee of
Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any
Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank. Female/SC/ST/PH
candidates are exempted from the payment of fee.
Selection
Process: Applicants will be selected
on the basis of their performance in both written exams as well as in
interview.
Indian Forest Service Exam Pattern:
Preliminary Examination: in
IFS exam are two compulsory papers. Each paper is consist 200 marks and
will be held in two hours. Paper first will be objective type and paper second
will be descriptive type.
