Eligibility
Criteria for Junior Telecom Officers (JTO)
Education
Qualification: Applying job grabbers must
have passed Graduates of Engineering
or Technology. Those who have an equivalent degree they may apply as well. The
certification must be from a recognized college. Applicants should have learned
any one of the following disciplines:-
- Computer
- Electrical
- Electronics
- Information Technology
- Radio
- Telecommunication
Those who
are awaiting their graduation results are also eligible to appear in
examination. A score of above 60 percent ought to have been scored by the
students in their finals.
Age
Limit: Job grabbers age must have
minimum 21 (twenty one) years & maximum 30 (thirty) years. But this is
relaxable in some cases, they are:
- Government servants – up to 5 years
- BSNL employees – up to 5 years
- Applicants of the SC and ST tribes – up to 5 years
- Applicants of the OBC category – up to 3 years
- Applicants of the PH General Category – up to 10 years [SC/ST: 15 years and OBC: 13 years
- Residents of J&K
Eligibility Criteria for Telecom Technical Assistants (TTA):
Nationality/Citizenship: Only Indian Nationals can apply-
Academic
Record: Aspirants should have
qualified degree in the following discipline for getting eligible for
examination:
- Telecommunication Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Radio Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Instrumentation/ Instrument Engineering

The
candidates should either have B.Tech degree or a 3 years Engineering Diploma in

Job appliers
with the degree of M.Sc. (Electronics) are also eligible for the examination.

degrees must be in hand while applying for the examination which means the
aspirant who are in the final year of graduation are not eligible for taking
the examination.
Age
Duration: Age of job contenders must have
minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years with both ends inclusive on the date of

Educational
Qualification: Applying aspirants must have
done their BE/B.Tech degrees in Engineering in any recognized university or

Criteria for Deputy General Manager (DGM):
Education
Qualification: Candidates who are interested
to apply for it they must have passed 1st class B.E / B.Tech or equivalent
Engineering Degree / CA / ICWA / CS with minimum 60 % marks or more from
recognized institution.
Job grabbers
must have Min. 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in BE/B. Tech or equivalent
Engineering Degree from following disciplines: Electrical, Electronics and
Communications/ IT/Computer/ Computer Sciences.
Work
Experience Eligibility:
- Minimum 12 years post qualification working experience
- Minimum 3 years of sector-wise experience: In case of PSU experience: Minimum 3 years in E-4 grade as defined in DPE guidelines (IDA pre-revised scale Rs.14500-350- 18700/Revised IDA Scale Rs.29100-54500).In case of Private sector experience: Minimum 3 years in equivalent annual gross salary, which is approximately Rs. Seven lacs gross.In case of government job sector experience: Minimum 3 years in CDA scale Rs.10000-325-15200 (pre-revised scale).
- Minimum 5 years work experience, in a company with an annual turnover more than Rs 100 Cr. (in case of PSU, Private Companies).
- If you are from a PSU or Government Service, you have to produce the ‘No Objection Certificate’ issued on letter head or duly stamped by the competent authority at the time of interview.
