TNEA Counseling Eligibility Criteria
  • Participants having the requisite eligibility criteria can appear in counseling cum seat allotment round.
  • Applying students for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions they must passed VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std in Tamil Nadu or their equivalent examination from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu.
  • Aspirants should have qualified the examination by scoring the marks equal to or more than the cutoff for appearing the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Counseling.
  • Applicants other than BC/ BCM / MBC & DNC / SC/ SCA / ST should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate. The candidates should have obtained marks greater than or equal to the qualifying marks (70 out of 200) prescribed in NATA score card

TNEA Counselling Application Fees: For TNEA Counselling, applicants need to pay given below application fee. Contenders have to submit applicable Bank charges extra. TNEA Selection Procedure:
Students need to register to attend Counselling by submitting their filled application form through online way on its official website. Then university will shortlisted through scrutiny of application forms. After screening of application forms, all aspirants will get allotted with the random number. Then all students who get selected through Random Number Process will get the Counselling hall ticket by post. At last, attend the single Window Counselling on scheduled date along with the Counselling Call Letter.

Payment of TNEA Counselling Fee:
General candidates applicants need to submit the application fee of Rs. 500/- and Rs. 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu and Rs. 100 for every special reservation in addition to the application / registration fees. Candidate should apply only through online in the web portal barch.tnea.ac.in. After allotment if applicants will not join then only 80 % of the initial deposit amount paid at the time of counseling will be refunded. In such cases original allotment order with acknowledgement for the receipt of payment should be surrendered.

  • After the payment of application fee applicants are required to bring the following documents while going for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Single Window Counseling. In case of any discrepancies found candidate will be rejected.
  • 10th Mark Sheet
  • HSC / Equivalent Mark Sheet
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Permanent Community Certificate Card for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC and BCM (either Permanent card or electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate)
  • HSC Hall Ticket
  • Nativity Certificate only in electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate – If applicable
  • First Graduate Certificate and First Graduate Joint Declaration (only in electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate) – If applicable
  • Srilankan Tamil Refugee certificate – If applicable

Note: Special Reservation Form(s) with DD and photocopy of the Relevant Certificate(s) – If applicable. Those applicants who have appeared in HSC / Equivalent examination in March must produce Original Mark sheet and TC at the time of counseling. However, downloaded copy of the mark sheet should be enclosed, others to enclose a copy of Mark sheet and TC.

TNEA Seat Allotment
Candidates will be called for seat allotment according to their session ranks. While attending the counseling section applicants must have at least 5-10 choices college wise or branch wise to have options with them. After the allotment of the seats candidates are required to collect the allotment order from the Allotment Order section. It is advised to the candidates they must verify the course and the college printed on the respective allotment order. After getting the allotment order to the respective college and enroll for admission before the last date.
