  • Furthermore, speaking regarding launch of the Tamil and Gujarati online dictionaries, Sivaramakrishnan Venkateswaran, Managing Director, Oxford University Press India said, "We are agitated at the launch of the Tamil and Gujarati online dictionaries following the launch of the Hindi online dictionary last year.

These two (02) new sites will be sustained by a Language Champion who will give strategic advice and help grow awareness of the initiative.

"The addition of Gujarati and Tamil to the Oxford Dictionaries API gives a rapidly growing developer community reach to this language data in a structured and resilient way, possibly for the first time, and entitle the creation of content and applications that serve a big language population," Philip Reimann, Senior Product Manager added.
