Education Qualification: Applying
aspirants should have degree of Masters in relevant field, or its equivalent
degree/ diploma/ certificate in concerned discipline from well known University
or Institution affiliates to the AIU (Association of Indian Universities), New
Delhi.
Applying candidates should have secured 55% marks (without
rounding off) in Master Degree. Reserved category applicants must attain 50%
marks in degree. The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had
been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of
result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from
55% to 50%) for appearing in U-SET.
Applicants appearing in last year cannot apply for
Uttrakhand -SET.
Applicants may appear in SET in the subject of their
Post Graduation only. Aspirants whose post graduation subject is not covered in
the list of subjects may be appeared in CBSE UGC NET/CSIR NET.
Application Fee:
Applicants need to pay fee
through online mode or offline mode. It is the choice of candidates to choose
the mode of payment. Online USET Examination fee may be paid via Debit/ Credit
card or by net banking. For paying fee
through offline mode, applicants can pay through Challan at any Branch of State
Bank of India (SBI). Applicants who are not domiciled/residents of Uttarakhand
have to pay Rs. 1000/- as application fee for USET Application Fee irrespective
of their category (SC/ST/PH/VH/OBC/General).
- For General Category: Rs. 1000 (excluding Bank Charges, if any
- For OBC/SC /ST /PWD: Rs. 600 (excluding Bank Charges, if any)

SET Exam Scheme:
- For Uttrakhand State Eligibility Test applicants must go through updated USET Exam Pattern and USET Syllabus for better preparation. Before appearing in any competitive exam, it is essential to know complete syllabus. Uttrakhand State Eligibility Test will consist of three papers. All three papers will be of objective type, individual need to select the suitable answer.
- In First session, paper I contain 60 questions (50 to be attempted).
- Paper II contains 50 questions (compulsory). Total time duration is 2 hours 30 minutes and 100 marks of each paper.
- In second session, paper III contains 75 questions (compulsory). Time duration will be given 2 hours 30 min and marks will be given out of 150.

online mode. Applicants will have to appear in USET Exam with proper call
letter and preparation.
U-SET
Result: After
appeared in this exam candidates need to check Uttrakhand SET Results. To
check Kumaun University Result applicants may check it through

- Valid Non Creamy Layer (OBC) Certificate (not older than one year) issued by Competent Authority of the Government of Uttarakhand for OBC Category candidates.
- Medical Certificate given by Competent Authority in prescribed format in case of Persons with disability (PWD) candidates.
