JEE Main Eligibility Criteria
National Testing Agency (NTA) has all right reserves to
commence Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to all those candidates who want
to
get admission in engineering courses in approved institutes within the country.

ensure either they have studied to satisfy JEE
Main Eligibility Criteria. If students are fully eligible than get ready to
apply for this test after reading official notification. As per information JEE
Main online registration form will be invited in the month of February 2019 and
exam will commenced from 7th – 21st April 2019.

JEE Mains Eligibility Criteria
- Aspirants must be a citizen of India
- NRIs, PIOs, OCIs & Foreign national candidates can also apply.
- Candidates can apply for JEE Main exam only three times. These attempts limit was counted from 2017.
- Aspirants applying for JEE Mains must hold Aadhaar Card as it is compulsory to apply for this exam
Requirement of
“Aadhar Card”:
- Indian aspirants should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI.
- Students will have to enter details such as AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data.
- Those aspirants who particulars do not match will not be able to fill the application form for JEE (Main).
- All the aspirants applying for JEE (Main) are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth & gender as per school records.
- This provision is not valid for the Meghalaya, J & K and Assam candidates.
- Aspirants applying from Meghalaya, J & K and Assam have to enter their passport number, bank account number, ration card number or any other valid Govt. identity number to get examination center in these states only.
Age Details:
- General and OBC category candidates, who are born on or after 1st October, 1993 are eligible to apply.
- SC, ST and PwD category aspirants, who are born on or after 1st October, 1988 are eligible to fill JEE main application
- Date of birth stated in the Secondary Education Board/University will be considered only for appearing in the exam.
JEE Mains Educations
Qualification:
- Students must have qualified 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a well recognized board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in order to apply.
- There is no prescribed percentage to appear in the JEE mains exam. Candidates having passing marks can also apply.
- Candidates who are appearing in 10+2 or its equivalent examination are also eligible for JEE Main.
- NIOS candidates can also apply for this exam.
- Aspirants possess diploma degree are also eligible to apply for JEE Main But their rank & score in JEE Main will not be considered for admission in NITs & CFTIs.
Passing Year
Eligibility Criteria:
- Those aspirants who have qualified 10 +2 or its equivalent exam in 2016 or 2017 (not before 2016) are eligible to apply for this exam.
- Those aspirants who have appeared in 12th or equivalent exam in 2015 but did not cleared in 2015, but passed in 2016 are not eligible to apply.
- Those contenders who have qualified 12th exam in 2017 & appeared for improvement for one or few subjects, then top 20 percentile cut-off for 2017 will be considered.
- Contenders who writes all the subjects, then their best of the two performances will be considered.
Eligibility for
Admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs on the basis of JEE Mains:
Aspirants who want to get admission in to NITs, IIITs and
CFTIs must have secured minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST students) in their
qualifying examination or must be in top 20 percentile in class 12th
examination conducted by respective boards.
