Indian Economic Service Exam Full Details
Nationality:
- A candidate must be either:
- A citizen of India; or
- A subject of Nepal; or
- A subject of Bhutan; or
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962, with the decision of permanently settling in India
Required Education:
- For Indian Economic Service: Applicants must have passed post-graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
For Indian Statistical Service: Aspirants
should have bachelor's degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied
Statistics as one of the subject or a Master's degree in
Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University
incorporated by an Act of the Central.
Age Limit: Age
of aspirants must have minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years as on 1st
August of the year of Indian Economic Service Exam.
Relaxation
in age will be given as:
- 5 years age relaxation to the candidates related to SC/ST Category
- 3 years relaxation for the candidates belonging to OBC category
- 5 years relaxation to the candidates, who have been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980
- 3 years relaxation to the candidates of Defence Services Personnel disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country
- 5 years for ex-servicemen and ECOs/SSCOs
- 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically disabled persons.
Physical
standards: Candidates should have physically fit
according to the physical standard for admission to Indian Economic
Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination
Application
Fee: Applicants need to submit application fee
of Rs. 200/-.
Female/SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of
fee
Mode
to submit the amount: Applicants should deposit money of fee in
any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank
of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad /State Bank of Mysore/ State
Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit
Card.
Selection Process: Job seekers will be appointed on the basis of their performance in IES/ISS Exam and Interview which will be conducted by organization.

point to remember: After the declaration of the result
applicants need to submit their documents to the commission along with the
application. The Documents are:
- Age Certificate
- Qualification Documents
- Caste Certificate In Support Of Schedule Caste, Scheduled Tribe And Other Backward Classes Etc.
- Certificate in support of claim for age/fee concession
- Certificate in support of being physically disabled (where applicable)
- After the announcement of the scorecard, the aspirants have to submit the DAF via online mode. And the applications are also required to be sent to the Commission at that time along with the attested copies of the documents mentioned above.
- When the candidates will be called for the interview procedure, at that time they have to show their original educational certificates and other required testimonials.
- The interview letter to the candidates may also be issued electronically.
