JIPMER MBBS Counselling
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and
Research, Pondicherry has released a notice for JIPMER MBBS counselling
which is going to schedule from June 2019. Institute has released separate merit list for all the categories
(general unreserved/OPH / OBC/SC/ST) as per the marks scored in the examination.
All the eligible and motivated applicants who will take part in counselling can
take admission in MBBS programme in available streams. Before appear in this
Counselling, qualified applicants must apply on or before closing date for it
through www.jipmer.puducherry.gov.in.
You need to remind that total 1,56,422 participants had
appeared for the entrance examinations of JIPMER. The exam was organized
in two shifts (shift I: 81,960 and shift II: 74,462) at 291 centres across the
country in June 2019. There are 200 MBBS seats, including 50
seats on the Karaikal campus. The counselling of JIPMER MBBS will be held
in 03 rounds. JIPMER MBBS counselling is going to be conducted in offline
mode, so candidate has to be physically present at the time of counselling.
Total 592 Unreserved candidates have qualified for the JIPMER MBBS counselling.

JIPMER MBBS Counselling Procedure: The procedure of JIPMER MBBS Counselling is
as follows:
First Step:
JIPMER Counselling Registrations: All applicants
will have to report at the JIPMER MBBS counselling place on given time and date
shown in date chart. At the venue of JIPMER Counselling, all the applicants
will have to register themselves first.
Second Step:
Biometric Fingerprint and Image Verification:
- Those students who you have completed the process of registration are eligible to go through Biometric Fingerprint and Image Verification. Applicants are suggested to verify their fingerprints and photo before the counselling of JIPMER MBBS starts.
- If any mismatch found in the biometric fingerprints or photo, then candidates will not able to appear in appear in counselling.
Third Step:
Certificate Verification:
- The candidates have to verify the following certificate along with one self-attested copy for JIPMER MBBS:
- These are the documents must be in JIPMER MBBS Counselling:
- JIPMER MBBS admit card signed by the Invigilator present during the exam.
- JIPMER MBBS Rank Letter
- Birth Certificate or Class 10 certificate as a proof of date of birth.
- Class 12 or equivalent examination pass certificate
- Class 12 or equivalent examination statement of marks
- Character Certificate from the institute last attended.
- Residence Certificate issued by Revenue Authority, not below the rank of Tahsildar.
- Caste Certificate, issued by the revenue officer, not below the post of Tahsildar.
- Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
- Residence Certificate / Employer Certificate for residents of Puducherry.
- Medical Certificate, for PwD candidates.
- Six recent passport size colour photographs.
JIPMER MBBS Seat Allotment
- After finalize the verification rounds; Students will be called for seat allotment.
- For the allotment of seats, candidates will be called as according to their rank.
- If the seat is vacant in the preferred course and campus, the seat will be allocated to the candidates.
- However, the candidates might have to settle for lesser prioritized seat if there is no vacancy.
